This product is a flavonolignan ingredient condensated with the dihydroflavonol and phenylpropanoid derivatives that are extracted from the fruit and seed of silybum marinaum (L) Gaenrt.
It is odorless light yellow or ochroid powder or white crystallized powder, with slight bitter taste. It is freely soluble in acetone, alcohol, mathyl alcohol and ethyl acetate, and is insoluble in water.
The total flavonolignan content is about 80%.
It mainly contains four isomers including silybin, isosilybin, silychristin and silydianin.
