The sight glass has two functions: one is to indicate whether there is enough refrigerant in the system; the other is to indicate whether there is water in the refrigerant. The sight glass should be made of materials resistant to corrosion by refrigerants and sealed. There are two assembly methods: sintered and screw-in. The sight glass of the counterfeit liquid storage dryer is made of materials that are not resistant to refrigerant corrosion, resulting in poor sealing and refrigerant leakage.
When there are too many impurities or desiccant in the liquid storage dryer and the suction pipe is blocked, the cooling effect will decrease, and there is a significant temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the liquid storage dryer. At this time, the liquid storage dryer must be replaced. Due to the different performances of the two refrigerants, HFC-134a and CFC-12, different receiver dryers are required and cannot be mixed. The storage dryer suitable for HFC-134a should use XH-7 molecular sieve as the desiccant, and the O-ring of the connection port should be made of materials with good compatibility with HFC-134a. Since the car air conditioner is installed on the car, the car is bumpy and vibrated greatly during the driving process, so it cannot be connected with rigid metal, but can only be connected with a flexible rubber hose.
