There are several general topcoats: ordinary paint; metallic paint; pearl paint. Needless to say, ordinary paints, resins, pigments and additives. The metallic paint has more aluminum powder; so it looks bright after finishing. For pearl paint, mica particles are added. Mica is a very thin piece of material, therefore, the reflection is directional and has a colorful effect. If it is metallic paint plus a varnish layer, the paint on the car looks very bright and beautiful. In terms of color, white is undoubtedly the cheapest. For example, **** brand red pigment is about 25 times more expensive than **** brand titanium dioxide; while the amount of titanium dioxide used in white paint is about 5 times that of red pigment. Therefore, the cost of red paint for color is 5 times higher than that of white paint. This is why some domestic cars have so few color varieties: simple and low cost.
No matter what color paint, its pigment will fade in the sun. In fact, not only paint, but any colored stuff may fade under the sun. At this time, the additives added in the paint are very important. For example, light stabilizers, antioxidants, etc. Unfortunately, good additives are very expensive. In many cases, the quality of the additives determines how the paint feels. People would definitely think that a certain paint that began to show obvious fading in 2 years is as bright as new paint in 5 years. But in fact, there is no non-fading paint. In many cases, the factory is more concerned about: uniform fading. Try not to make chromatic aberrations appear in different parts of the car.
New car is in hand, the only thing that is easy to damage is the paint. If the car is not washed carefully, the paint will be injured. In fact, even when things are installed on the production line, there are things that damage the paint.
Generally small scratches, there are scars on the paint surface, and the scars are white. That is the paint surface is shaved. There is no need to touch up the paint. Light, use sand wax or wax several times. If it's heavy, just be polished.
More serious, you can see the color of the underlying primer (in many cases, the primer is dark in color). Then, please take another look at the scar. Generally speaking, bumpers, rearview mirrors and the wheel eyebrows of some cars are made of engineering plastics. stainless. Apart from being ugly, there is no big problem. It doesn’t matter whether you touch up the paint or not. For other things, touch up the paint, otherwise, even a small damage, the steel plate will start to rust. At that time, even if the paint is touched up, it will be difficult to prevent embroidering.
It is recommended to go to a special overhaul shop or shop for touch up paint.
First of all, in all places, even in the original factory, after the car is installed, the touch-up paint will not use any original paint! If the repair shop tells you that they use the original paint, it must be lying to you. The reason is simple: I mentioned above when I talked about the original painting process, after spraying the paint, bake it at a temperature of 200 degrees. With so many parts on the finished car, how many can withstand a temperature of 200 degrees? Would it be possible to dismantle the car, leaving only the car shell?
Touch-up paints all use special touch-up paint. The baking temperature of the refinish paint is relatively low, like 70 or 80 degrees.
Secondly, the color of the refinish paint is all formulated before the repair. The reason is also very simple: your car may have been driving for a few years, and the paint has begun to fade, although you can’t tell. If you park outside, the degree of fading in different directions will be slightly different-the relationship between sunlight. If you want to match the original color as much as possible, you can only adjust it now. Also, in order to avoid chromatic aberration as much as possible, even if you only need to touch up a small piece of paint, the factory will repaint the whole piece.
For example, if there is a place on the car door that needs to be repaired, then, taking the anti-scratch strip as the boundary, the upper half or the lower half of the fan should be sprayed. In this way, if there is a small color difference, it is not easy to see.
Also, if you buy a car for beauty, you buy pearlescent paint (fortunately, the domestic car does not seem to be used for cars). When you touch up the paint, be prepared to cry. It is difficult (or almost impossible) for the directionality of the lacquer mica particles to be the same as before. Even if there is no color difference in the paint, the paint can be seen at a glance.
Now that the computer color matching is under the premise of the operator’s seriousness, the color difference between the paint and the original paint is indistinguishable by ordinary people’s eyes. You can rest assured about this. The key is: the paint used, the equipment used and the sense of responsibility of the people.
There is no possibility to touch up the paint with the original paint. But under normal circumstances, the car factory will still recommend the designated refinish paint brand to the specialized repair station. A good repair station will also use a good brand. Such as ici, such as Nippon. However, in small shops, even some less formal specialized repair stations may use cheap paint (if it is not said that they are fake) for the sake of reducing costs. At that time, the effect may be the same, and after 3 months, the color difference will come. This is almost impossible for our users to identify. Only look for a rest assured repair shop.
Although the baking temperature of the refinish paint is relatively low, it does not mean that it does not need to be baked or replaced by other methods. If you find that the repair shop does not have a special baking room, but uses a small sun lamp to heat it. Change places as soon as possible! Unless you drive a bus.
Also, on the production line of a regular automobile factory, painting is done in a dust-free workshop. Although many purely domestic cars may not do this, it does not mean that it is unnecessary. If you see that the garage is very dirty and dusty. I suggest you change the place. Otherwise, even if it came out beautifully at the time, after a while, I have seen all the paint bubbling and peeling.
Touch-up paint, apart from paying, I'm afraid we can only pay attention to so much.

Washing a car, a lot of water is undoubtedly necessary. But in many cases, car washers like to use a high-pressure water gun to wash the paint vertically. Also, given that new cars tend to sell quickly now. The car you got may have just come out of the depot a few days ago. The baking paint has a characteristic: generally it takes a period of time to be really firm and hard. So, don’t rush to wax the new car. I’ll talk about it in three months.
